With the advent and acceptance of more religious freedom in the 19th century Sprowston as in many parishes saw the conversion or construction of buildings to cater for followers of the particular religions. The changes in population areas within the parish required additions or relocation of buildings to provide for their spiritual needs. In some cases the details are rather scant but those available are listed under the various church or chapel name and denomination. We are of course indebted to the various people who have provided the information but would always welcome further input from both the church or chapel congregation and public.}}

The People Involved

The people involved in the religious life in Sprowston. Over time we will be building a comprehensive of the people involved in providing the spiritual needs of the parish, be they vicar, minister or other within the various churches and chapels. Mention must also be made of the persons who were prime movers in the establishing places of worship to broaden the range of denominations within the area.
