Coughtrey Close the runs off Stonehouse Road being a mixture of private and social housing. Coming into the latter category is the complex of sheltered one-bedroom bungalows which were opened in 1973. The first warden of this complex has left a very informative record of its opening and with it the consequential demise of the prefabs then on Stonehouse Road. With the passing of 40+ years the bungalows are still fulfilling their original role.
