The road in question joined Sprowston Road a short distance on the Wroxham side of Wall Road but instead was in the direction of Mousehold heath. The road was very short and only had a small number of residential homes reputed to be similar to those on Hooper Lane. At the top were allotments which were prevalent in such areas where gardens were only small. Until the Sprowston Mill burned down in 1933 there was an excellent view of it stood on the hill behind from these allotments.
