  • Miss Frances (Fanny) Ellis, born 1875 in a cottage near the Denmark, used to take tea for the men working in the brickfields, and went to Australia by working her passage.

  • William Slaymaker Lusher, founder of Lusher Builders in 1924. He is pictured here in 1971.

  • William Ivan Lusher, the Son of the founder of the business. He was a Bricklayer by trade.

  • Mr. Donald Wright, born 1/2/1911 at 13, Blue Boar Lane. Married Joyce Daisy Vincent from Tuttington nr. Aylsham in 1938. Father, Walter was the forester on the Gurney estate. Mother, Maria (nee Sadler).

  • Elizabeth Sarah Harrison (nee Robertson). Elder sister of George Robertson, miller 1842 to 1884. Married William Harrison 1849. They had one daughter and seven sons one, William A. became the next miller.

  • John Gurney, a lithograph by C.W. Walton, about 1887. John Gurney (an original partner in Barclay's bank) purchased Sprowston Hall 1868 rebuilt it 1876. He married Isabel Blake Humfrey on March 21st. 1871.

  • Pauline Gowing, widow of Cecil Gowing plants a tree in the grounds of Cecil Gowing First School to mark the school's silver jubilee in 1992.
