What's in the gallery?

This gallery contains a selection of photographs of public houses, inns and clubs. These images are only a small portion of the collection that we hold in the archive. Over the coming months new images will be added until the whole archive is available online. Even then we hope the new material will become available to keep the collection up-to-date. We must never lose sight of the fact, today's happening is tomorrow's history.

  • Dove Public House converted to residence.

  • Beehive Public House in Cannerby Lane 2004

  • Brickmakers Arms Public House taken in the1940’s

  • Royal Oak Public House Landlady in the 1980s or 90s.

  • The Blue Boar Inn on Wroxham Road, as it was in the mid 1800s

  • Dove Public House as a private residence

  • The Racecourse Inn, Salhouse Road in the early 2000s

  • Blue Boar public house - 2000s

  • Early painting of the Blue Boar Inn 1840.

  • Taken about 1935, George & Dragon, as built in the 1870s

  • The Beehive PH in the early 2000s.

  • Duke of Norfolk public house, Mousehold Lane in the 1950s.

  • The Woodman Public House, North Walsham Road is really in Old Catton but right on the border.

  • The Prince of Denmark PH on Sprowston Road. 2000s.

  • The Yeoman PH as Tommy T's in the early 2000s.

  • Norfolk Arms Public House Sprowston Road 1950s.

  • Prince of Denmark Public House in the 1980s.

  • Blue Boar Public House in the 1920s, from the south side before the veranda was added.

  • Party dressed in costume outside The Brickmakers in the 1930s what the occasion was is unrecorded.

  • Dove Public House now as a private residence.
